KINGS' CLEAN SWEEP!

Congratulations to Kingussie FC tonight on completing a clean sweep of all this season's silverware with a hard-fought 2-0 win over RBL in the RBL Cup Final.

FIXTURE UPDATES:

Kingussie and Tomatin Utd sensibly agreed to double-up last night's semi final as their outstanding week 8 League fixture, so we're happy to advise that no games now remain outstanding and the League schedule is now complete.

Due to a request from both clubs, the RBL Cup Final, originally scheduled for this Sunday, will now be played on Wednesday 31 August. The game will still take place at Carrbridge and we're awaiting confirmation that the kick off will be 6:30pm due to the failing light this time of the year.

SBWFA Statement

Following last Thursday's Dalvey Cup first round matches, a complaint was lodged by Tomatin United FC that their opponents, Strathspey Thistle Colts FC, had fielded an ineligible player during their game.

The player was identified as Josh Horton, and in line with standard procedure details of the player's status were sought from Scottish Welfare FA Registration Secretary, Mr William Murray. From this, we were advised that Mr Horton was already signed to another team in a neighbouring Welfare FA, and as such was ineligible to play for any other team, including Strathspey Thistle Colts.

The SBWFA has therefore taken the regrettable step of ejecting Strathspey Thistle Colts FC from the Dalvey Cup. Tomatin United have therefore been reinstated, and will now face Aviemore Thistle in this Thursday's semi-final.
