Today is the last day for all clubs to submit their fees for the coming season. Only 1 club has yet to do so and it's vital that it is done by tonight.

This is a reminder that Association fees MUST be paid by this coming Friday 27 March. We still await payment from 3 clubs and they are reminded that no fees means no participation in 2009.

So please don't leave it to the last minute!

At last night's Association meeting it was confirmed that the 2009 season will be contested by 5 clubs. We've lost Cromdale and Tomatin, but have welcomed Kingussie back into the fold. The full fixture list is now available to view on the "Fixtures & Results" section of this website. A printable version can be found in the "Downloads" section. The season kicks off on Tuesday 5 May, and a final pre-season meeting will be held on Monday 20 April where all teams' signing-on forms should be completed and returned. Clubs are reminded that Referee match fees for the next 2 years will be £30.00 per game plus 30p per mile expenses.

Lastly, the SBWFA once more gives a huge "thank you" to our long time sponsor David Ritchie & Sons Ltd as they have agreed to another generous sponsorship package for the coming season. Apologies also for the previous slip-up in the firm's name!

A reminder to all clubs that the Association's AGM takes place tonight at 7:30pm in the Cairn Hotel, Carrbridge.

It's essential that each club sends a representative as the season is fast approaching and there's much to organise. We look forward to seeing you all there.

A preliminary fixture list has been prepared for the coming season, however this will not be published until after the AGM once the full list of competing clubs is confirmed. It is also hoped that a draw for the respective cup competitions will be made on the night in a simplified process.

At an informal SBWFA committee meeting this evening several suggestions were raised concerning the coming season, and in order to discuss these fully with the clubs an AGM has been called for Moday the 16th March at 7:30pm in the Cairn Hotel, Carrbridge.

The lack of any form of fundraising by most clubs has become an issue as League fees will be payable, with some still outstanding from 2008. This is obviously not a healthy position and will need to be addressed by member clubs as a matter of urgency. It should also be noted that Referee match fees for the next 2 years will be £30.00 per game plus 30p per mile expenses.

Any new club representatives are asked to submit their contact details (in particular any email addresses) to us so that this website can be updated, along with our mailing list. Any change in logos, colours etc should also be given so that the team sections are similarly updated. New team pictures are particularly welcome. All submissions to webmaster@sbwfa.co.uk.

This site's been in hibernation over the winter, but as Spring draws ever nearer so does the SBWFA 2009 season

Preparations are already underway but it's hoped to hold the AGM shortly, allowing representatives from all this season's competing clubs to exchange information. It's highly unlikely that the list of clubs will be the same as last year, but we'll let you know more about that in due course. So in the meantime, although it's March the SBWFA wishes everyone a happy new year!
